Wow. What a beautiful debut. It’s called Monologue and contains heartbreaking monologues. Guess which US state is the origin of this master piece! No, it’s not from the sheltered lap of Omaha, Nebraska or from the research centre for singing-songwriting in Austin, Texas. Okay, it’s gonna be hard to guess, so I’ll solve the puzzle for you. The US state is called Mecklenburg-Vorpommern, or more precisely - Rostock. However, you will have to accept secondary residences in Berlin and Leipzig. You can hardly hear that the album was produced within their own four walls. What you hear is Florian Sievers’ dedication in singing, songs that tell about journeys into the past and into oneself, and wisdom interweaved with sounds. Who gives the new stage Birkenhain the proper ambience, if not for Talking To Turtles? Goosebumps guaranteed!
